Hootie, I have many happy memories of Marianne when we worked together at Carolina Eastman. She was always a joy to be around. Her beautiful smile added sunshine to the dreariest day. We all had some great times together. Even though we are no longer in Columbia, you are in our thoughts and prayers. I pray that you will feel all the love and affection we have for you during this time.

Mrs. Marianne taught my children so much! I am so grateful for her input in my children's lives! She helped us so much in raising our children... May she rest in peace now that she is in the "hollow if His hands" - as Pastor John always said... Thank you from the Brazell family.

To Michelle and Hootie, Although I never had the opportunity to meet either of you, Marianne shared many wonderful stories about you both. Take comfort in knowing that she loved you dearly. May the Lord heal your pain and give you the strength to carry on. Marianne loved her heavenly father, so do not let your hearts be troubled. It was always a pleasure to talk to Marianne, and even after the conversation ended you could still feel the comfort she left upon you. The Lord placed Marianne in my world for a reason and a season, and I was truly blessed by knowing her. Avis Clyburn USC Lancaster

Hootie, I just wanted to let you know that old friends are always with you in times like this. Although it has been over 23 years since I left CEC and returned to Kingsport, those days are still very special. I remember when Marianne was very young, unmarried and just beginning her career at CEC. Marianne was always so friendly and special. My life was blessed just by knowing her. My prayer is that God will grant you strength and comfort in the days ahead. Sincerely, Bill Crow

Awesome she is and awesome she always will be! I was very sad to get the call that Marianne had passed. While I know she is in a much better place, I also know how much you both will miss her and how difficult it will be for you and Michelle in the days to come. I know it will never be easy but take strength in the love and devotion you three had for each other and remember the good times together. Hootie ,old friend, just let me say "A vow well taken and a vow well kept". May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead.

Vickie and I are thankful to have seen Marianne and you a few months ago at Lizards Thicket and had a chance to talk about the old days. Marianne was a very sweet person that never met a stranger, from the days at work to Bailey's Fine Arts, talking and waiting on the girls to dance we really enjoyed our times together and will always cherish those moments. I am sorry to hear of your loss. The death of a loved one is one of the most devastating experiences a human can face. At times, the loss can seem unbearable. The Bible promises: "God is near to those broken at heart." It also says; "Throw your burden upon God himself and he himself will sustain you." (Psalms 34:18 and 55:22) I hope this message will help you cope with the loss of your loved one.

My fondest memories of Marianne were the tireless hours we spent together preparing for Vacation Bible School for many years. Our work together was like...MAGIC! We were a perfect team! Children's Choir was just as amazing working with Marianne. She always gave everything in anything she did. When we weren't working...we liked to shop. Especially the Carolina Craftsman that was our favorite place. So many fun times! Most of all, one of the dearest friends I will ever have. I love you and miss you greatly, Becki
