Coffee & Conversation Series

Tuesdays in 2019 (through December 17, 2019)
2-4 PM

Thompson Community Care invites seniors who are single or single again, age 55+, to gather for Coffee & Conversation on Tuesdays from 2-4PM. If you would like to enjoy good conversation with other folks over a cup of coffee, this is for you!

We meet in the education building at Cayce United Methodist Church, 1600 12th Street, Cayce, SC 29033. Enter the church parking lot located behind the church off Naples Ave.

*Cayce UMC has generously donated the meeting space but this program is not affiliated with the church. These gatherings are social in nature and no solicitation regarding services or products will be made.

Fall Festival Health and Wellness Expo

The Lourie Center will hold its 2019 Fall Festival on Friday, October 4 from 9 am to 1 pm. The event is free and open to the public. This annual festival is a fun and informative senior wellness expo featuring local senior service representatives, health screenings, flu shots, a free lunch, and an assortment of musical entertainment and activities.

We invite those who are already seniors (as well as those who have aging parents) to visit the Lourie Center on 1650 Park Cir, Columbia, SC 29201.

Groups who bus in together of five or more are eligible for advance reservations for the free lunch. Call 803-779-1971 for more info.

Finding Peace, Love and Music in Caregiving

Caregivers are invited to a day packed with information, support and resources. Enjoy wonderful speakers, a complimentary lunch and the opportunity to learn ways to sustain yourself in the role of caregiver. There is no charge for this conference, but registration is needed to plan for food and conference materials.
