Grief Support Group - Now Online!

3rd Monday of each month
3-4:30 PM

Join us for a monthly Grief Support Group hosted online. Co-facilitated by local grief counselor Mary Beth Lamey and Anne Abel, group meetings are designed to help take you from hurting to healing. As a group, we can overcome the struggle and build each other up to a healthy state of being. Join us and let the healing begin.

Mary Beth Lamey is a licensed clinical social worker with Thompson Funeral Homes serving as their Community Care Coordinator. Mary Beth graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has provided counseling and support services to grieving families in the Midlands for over 19 years.

Anne Abel, B.A. Newbury College, CRCFA, has facilitated caregiver support groups for 19 years and also led workshops and classes for South Carolina activity professionals, the Lieutenant Governor's Office on Aging, the South Carolina Healthcare Association, Dementia Dialogues, and the Alzheimer's Association. She has worked in Assisted Living communities in various capacities including activity programming, sales, marketing, and Executive Director. Anne currently serves in public relations at Lighthouse Hospice.

Luminary Display at Greenlawn Memorial Park

Join us as we witness the beautiful transformation of the park into a warm and glowing tribute to the memories of the family and friends who have passed before us.

Personalized luminary bags will be available for a donation to the community volunteers assisting with this display. Donations can be made out to the Lower Richland High School JROTC.

Orders must be received by Monday, November 30, 2020. A special remembrance gift will be given to those attending the luminary display. See the discussion section of the Facebook event to fill out the donation form:

Virtual Holiday Remembrance Service

Video tribute - We will be creating a Remembrance Photo Memorial Tribute to be shown during the virtual remembrance service and at the drive in service. If you wish to have your loved one’s photo appear in this video memorial, please submit one (1) photo by November 13.

Drive-In Holiday Remembrance

Join us as we gather to remember, reflect and honor the memories of our loved ones at our drive-in remembrance service.

Gather from the comfort and safety of your vehicle to participate in our Annual Remembrance Service, which will be shown on a large projection screen.

A special remembrance gift will be given to those attending the drive-in service.

This 5k event will be held at SC Criminal Justice Academy and is hosted by MADD South Carolina.

Your participation will help raise both awareness and funds to end drunk driving and fight drugged driving. Together, we will create a future of No More Victims®.
