Obituary of Kenneth Odom

WAGNER—Funeral services for Kenneth D. "The Guitar Man" Odom, Sr., 51, of Wagner, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Wayside Baptist Tabernacle Church in Pelion. Officiating will be Rev. Grover Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 1- 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mr. Odom passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Dorothy Lee Odom and the late Denley Odom. He worked at Jack Slagle's Fire Equipment and Supply for 22 years. Surviving are his mother, Dorothy Lee Odom; daughters, Tiffani Harmon (Dwayne) of Leesville, Nikki Nichols (Jason) of Saluda, Sabrina Odom of Pelion; son, Kenny Dewayne Odom (Crystal) of Gaston; step-daughters, Krystal Livingston of Lexington and Sarah Livingston of Pelion; five living sisters and three living brothers; seven grandchildren; longtime companion, Elizabeth Cheek Wagner.
