It was an honor to know her. She had such comedic personality with everyone and such a warm heart. She will be missed but I know she is up there keeping everyone straight and beating them in dominos! With Love, Adrianne

Dear Al, Sharon & Jason: I will miss Ms. Cromer so very much. Even though she tried for about eight years to make me think that she didn't like me and that she was mean and honary, it never worked because she was such a kind and sweet lady...that the sweetness always bled through and she would always giggle at herself for not being able to "be mean". I wished I would have kept a notebook on how many times she "fired me" and would call me in 2 weeks to see what day I'd be returning to cut her grass. I always made her "last on the stop" because my dad and I enjoyed sitting down with her...eating a snack and drinking some GREAT iced tea. For the last 4-1/2 years I have called her or she has called me in the afternoon and she would talk to me as I made my journey back to Florence, SC. Sometimes she would tell me that she didn't want to talk to me because I was "interrupting her supper". She also told me that her "talking time" was expensive and that she would deduct it from my pay and that I would owe her "free" grass cuttings for the rest of the season. I told her that I agreed and that it was a pleasure just to see her every other Thursday...pay or no pay! Today is Wednesday (my first entry on 3/15 was deleted) and I have picked up my phone several times to talk to her to see how she is doing. I can't hear her voice...but I know how she's doing. Springtime has arrived, her and Paul have a small cottage with small front yard with healthy zoysia grass and brilliant azalea blooms. Imo has already stepped out onto her front porch and told "Abraham-the yard man" that he cut the grass the "wrong way"...he should have gone "street to house" and not "shrub to shrub". WOW...how many times did I hear that one! I will miss you Imo, more than anyone will ever know...you were my buddy! Love, Karen

All who knew Imo, knew she was one of a kind. A "TRUE" Southern Lady. She was prim and proper and insisted that everything be in its' place. She was never without words and actions to that would turn any frown upside down. A "True Blue" and confidant. She was my friend and like a second Mother to me. To Al, Sharon and Jason my heartfelt thoughts and prayers abide with you daily. Thank You For Being A Friend lyrics Thank you for being a friend Traveled down the road and back again your heart is true you're a pal and a confidant I'm not ashamed to say I hope it always will stay this way My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow And if you threw a party Invited everyone you knew You would see, the biggest gift would be from me and the card attached would say, Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend If it's a car you lack I'd surely buy you a Cadillac Whatever you need, anytime of the day or night I'm not ashamed to say I hope it always will stay this way My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow And when we both get older With walking canes and hair of gray Have no fear, even though it's hard to hear I will stand real close and say, Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend And when we die and float away Into the night, the Milky Way You'll hear me call, as we ascend I'll see you there, then once again Thank you for being a friend
