Chris Hollis posted a condolence

My husband, Billy, and I have enjoyed many years of wonderful square dancing with Jimmy and Cheryl. I will always remember Jimmy for asking when he saw me, "are you walking on metal tonight?" and I would always answer, "yep!" Jimmy was a fun dancer, and square dancers all around will certainly miss his wonderful demeanor and loving smiling face. We will always remember you, Jimmy!
Our deepest sympathy is extended to Cheryl, his children, his mother and all other relatives during this time of sorrow. May God bless each of you and be with you as you grieve Jimmy's passing. He is no longer suffering and is now with God. Where God is,
All is well. Hallelujah!!
Chris Hollis, longtime friend!

I was in the Army National Guard with Jimmy and it was a great pleasure to work with him. He was always very helpful to me as he was always willing to do all that he could to make my job easier at the NCO Academy. Jimmy was a good friend and I am so sorry to learn of his death. Our prayers are for you and all of the family as you go through this time. I pray that you will feel the presence of God with you.
Very Sincerely,
Floyd Pritchard

The whole Clements Family is very saddened by the loss of Jimmy and we want to convey our deepest sympathy to his family. His passing has brought back bittersweet memories, but has also made us thankful for our time spent with Jimmy. My Mother, Lillian, will forever recall the image of that little boy who called her Aunt DannyAnn (Jimmy came up with that name because my Father's nickname was Donnie). As for myself, I am reminded of the times spent at my Grandmother's house gathered together with my cousins. All of us were in different stages of growing up, with Jimmy being the oldest and myself the youngest. I can remember following Jimmy around when I was only 4 or 5 years old. He never complained or minded me wanting to tag along behind him. He had an "infectious" grin that drew people to him. I think that's what I will remember most about Jimmy! May God bless him on his journey and hold his family close at this time of sorrow.

My deepest love and sympathy goes to all the his kids James, Sharon and Rebecca as well as the grandkids. I remember so many great times with your dad at the lake and the river as well as just sitting around the table and laughing. He was always so young at heart. I loved him. The last time I spoke to him he made me feel so good about myself and we shared some great memories. He will live on in your heart and mine. Love always Tina, Cody and Stephen

The Columbia Twirlers sends our deepest sympathy to all the family at this sad time. Square dancing won't be the same without Jimmy there. He always made you feel welcome at the square dances and this is so important. Our life is temporary, indeed, but it seems that Jimmy's life was full and spent well. There is comfort in that, along with your memories and God's promises. Thinking of you, Cheryl and all the family.
Ann Dawson, President of the Columbia Twirlers.

To all of those that loved Jimmy as a Son, Husband, Father, Pee Paw, Sibling, Uncle, or Friend I send my deepest sympathy. Jimmy was one of the rare humans that knew how to wear all of the shoes he filled so wonderfully. My family will always cherish his memory as a true friend and a blessing in our lives. Jimmy will truly be missed in this earthly life by all that knew him. Take comfort in knowing he's at peace now at home with His Lord and Savior. I pray for God's loving arms to hold you all and comfort you in the days ahead.
