While Mrs. Ledbetter was the mother of a good friend, my memories of her mainly involve Red Lobster as others have written. Many times I would show up for lunch when I worked in West Columbia and always be greeted with her warm smile and twinkling eyes. She made a point to "roll out the red carpet" for me and my friends and did everything possible to make me feel special. I would watch how she interacted with fellow workers as well as the public and was amazed at her energy level and the spring in her step. She had a confidence about her that made you feel that she was in charge, that she knew exactly what she was doing, and that you were going to be well taken care of. Her position seemed to be more than just a job - it seemed to be her life. She beamed with pride at the service she provided which is so rare in the service industry today. It was so easy to forget how really old she really because she possessed such a vitality about her. She definitely was "one of a kind" in so many ways. She was a character at times no doubt, and you never had to wonder how she felt about something. Mrs. Ledbetter had the characteristics that make her unforgettable. My sympathy goes to all of her family and friends - particularly to her daughter Donna who provided that supportive safety net always for her mamma. May God grant you peace with this great loss.

Condolences to the Ledbetter family. Please be assured that one day we will see our loved ones again happy and healthy. Jesus promised at John 5:28 & 29 that "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." I pray this promise along with loving memories fill your heart with comfort and peace.

Although I did not personally know her, it was with great sadness that I learned of Mrs. Ledbetter's passing.
My family and I used to joke that they must have had a cot tucked away for her at Red Lobster, because every time we went there, we were greeted with her beautiful smile, and precious personality.
She not only was an asset to Red Lobster,....she was an inspiration to everyone.
My deepest condolences to the family of this very, very special lady.
