Losing the physical presence of a loved one is hard. Grief and sadness are inevitable. However seeing the strength of those whose lives she has touched shows us what an amazing woman she was. How strong a woman she must have been to produce women who are the epitome of southern strength, charm, grace, and resiliency that the south is famous for producing. May she be remembered for those lives she has shaped.

I am genuinely sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the depth of your grief; however, I believe that God can. God is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. Thus, please find comfort in knowing that he would never bring such calamity on us. A beautiful scripture is Psalm 34:18 "Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." The Bible divulges that God has promised to restore the Paradise under the rule Jesus Christ. Then, mankind will have the prospect of enjoying life without end, free from all problems, accidents, sickness, and death. (Psalm 37:29; Revelation 21:3, 4) Until that day comes, may there be for you undeserved kindness, mercy, and peace from Jehovah God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Alice was my Grandmama. If ever God puts Angels on Earth, she was one of them. She was the best grandmother, always had coloring books and toys and games for us grandchildren, never sent us away without a snack to take home; mine was saltines and peanut butter. If we found a toothpick in our coconut cake, she told us we were lucky! Her hugs were always warm and welcoming and her house was always welcoming as well. She made sure we knew we were loved and she adored each one of her children and grandchildren, and we all know it. No one will ever be able to replace her and she will be missed so very much. I love you Grandmama, you will always be in my heart and always walk with me.
