Dennis was our paster 31 years ago in New Ellenton. We continued to share a life long friendship with him and his family. He will always have a special place in our heart and fond memories of him. Dede, Greg, Matt and Kristina, I know how much you all loved your dad, may his legacy continue in you all. We love you and are thankful for sharing your dad with us.

Please know that the members and friends of New Hope Worship Center in Augusta, GA are praying for the Johnson family. Rev. Johnson became a treasured friend to me personally and to our church family collectively. One of the highlights of renting the camp-ground facilities was to fellowship with this special man of God.
Sincerely,
Rich Bowen, Senior Pastor

Can't get these thoughts out of my mind as I think about Rev. Johnson . . .
Because of you . . . .
I expect husbands and wives to be partners in ministry and enjoy it.
I expect all people to be welcomed and valued.
I expect pastors to support district events and their campground.
I expect people who work and volunteer at Nazarene campgrounds to be joyful and kind.
I expect pastor's families to love each other and to let that love overflow to others.
I expect pastor's kids to grow up to be great people who don't hate the church, because their parents kept their priorities straight.
I could go on, but the point is you set the bar pretty high and we love you for it!
Sincerely,
Tonya Adams Marks

To the family:
Thank you for sharing Brother Dennis with us for so many years. I have many fond memories of help wiring and plumbing the Guess Cabin on the campgrounds. Dennis lit up our lives in more ways than one, many times with his wit and humor and true Christian principles of living.
Rivanna did not get to know him as well as I did, but she loved and respected him also.
God go with you all.
Dr Billy and Rivanna Ward

Our hearts were very saddened to hear of the passing of our dear brother in Christ. Dennis was the most 'giving' man I know of...always ready to help anybody at any time, and always with a smile. I'm gonna miss his little green golf cart riding all around the campground and chatting with him when he would pass by our way. Our sympathy and prayers go out to all the family. He will surely be missed a thousand-fold! Heaven just gets sweeter every day. Bonnie and kids, we love you and pray that God will bring comfort to your aching hearts as you face the days ahead. Rachel & Marvin Tanner
