My fondest memories include that time together as next door neighbors in Trotwood with the Jassos. The Tollesons and the Jasso's - what an enduring bond. Stan and Adelle were close friends of our parents - all the children of both households were close in that time in the 1970s. i was sad to hear about Stan passing. I so wish i had known as I would not have missed the services. He was always "Mr. Jasso" to me. He was a mountain of a man - solid, yet warm. He loved his family and I admired him deeply. He used to refer to me as chongo or chonga. To the Children; Saiema, Saidin and Ismeal and your families - the Tolleson Boys extend tom you all the greatest sympathy. Your mamma and daddy are the best and we will miss them. And I know they are both together, happy and united again. All the best to the Jassos.
Andy Tolleson, Columbia SC

I met Stan years ago, when he visited Gisela, Adeles sister, my mother in law. I remember him as kind, generous and warm-hearted man. His curiosity and openness never let any reservation arise between us, we understood each other either by language, gesture or it seems to me, by pure empathy. Some years later Monika and me paid them a visit and were welcomed as we had just left days before.
We're regretting not to have had the opportunity to say goodby. We're convinced, that he' doing well.
We all have lost someone near to our hearts, but we're still related by kin or memory of a loved person and therefore we are not alone in our mourning.

I don't need to tell you all what my Tio and Tia and you all meant to me. When I went to live with you all that one summer long ago, and then after I joined the Air Force and was stationed at Pope and my Tio would pay my bus fare to come and help him with the gas stations on the weekends and he would give me his El Camino for the weekend, my oh my, I will never forget those days. First on Twin Lakes Road outside of Ft. Jackson and then when you all first moved into the house on Trotwood. You all are like my Brothers and Sister and I feel the loss of my Tio as much as you do. I can't be there with you now, but I am there in spirit and we continue to pray for all of you during this time. Love You All and if you need anything, just let me know.

Uncle Stanley will always hold a special place in my heart! He was a wonderful caring gentleman. The times I was able to visit him and Aunt Adele at their home in SC are great memories and I am blessed to have been a part of their lives. He will be missed but the memories will be mine forever! I love you Uncle.

Will allways remember "uncle Stan" has a handsome man especially in his uniform like I have seen him on pictures, but also as a very kind man. He managed to talk to my Mom the cousin of his wife with him alone speaking a few words of German and her only speaking a few words of English. His kindness and curiosty about everything managed that. I had all the time a lot of respect for him and I am glad to have met him unfortunatly only once in Germany and once in the States. He will be all the time in my memory. A great man! Rest in peace uncle Stan.
Love Anneli
