Obituary of Frederick E. Kaigler

Columbia - Reverend Frederick E. Kaigler, 74, went to meet the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2014. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia located at 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Denny Terrace Baptist Church, 6324 Dorchester Lane. The service will be conducted by Dr. Louie McDonald. Rev. Kaigler is predeceased by his beautiful wife of 54 years, Patricia Kaigler. He was the son of the late Arthur W. and Myrtis B. Kaigler. He is survived by his four children, Kathy Cockerham, Deborah McGovern and husband, Todd McGovern, John Kaigler and wife, Kris Kaigler, and Linda Waters; brother, Marion Kaigler; five grandchildren, Christopher and Bryan Cockerham, Nicole, Aric and Matthew Waters. Rev. Kaigler was the pastor of Denny Terrace Baptist church. He enjoyed helping others and was involved in the food co-op.
