I thought a lot of Rev. Kaigler. He was such a sweet, gentle soul. I got to talk to him recently and I will cherish that memory. He was such an easy person to talk to. He officiated my Son and Daughter-in-laws wedding in 2011. Did a wonderful job and was so happy to be able to do it. I'm so sorry to know he's gone now, but I know he is happy he's with his wonderful wife again. May he rest in peace.

When I started working at PYA 18 years ago in customer services I met Fred, He was always the nices person. He and I had lunch together at the local chinese restaurant and talk about racing at the dirt track in Sumter. At every retirement dinner he would make sure to come and say HI. Fred was always nice and smiling and I will remember him always. I still have a picture of Goofy the Disney Character he drew for me when I was having a bad day.
Rest in Peace my friend, condolence to his family he will be missed and I will always remember his smile when I have a bad day.

I will never forget the day Fred came into my office at Crescent Hill Baptist Church and began crying. I asked him what was wrong and he told me he felt God's calling to the ministry but he felt he was not qualified and too old to do something like that. God put words in my mouth as I began to talk to him about many of the older characters who were called to serve. I also reminded him that if God calls you to do His service, He will provide you the resources to do whatever He has asked you to do. And so it is. It wasn't but a short time when the apartments down the street called and asked me if I knew if Pastor Ron would have time on Sunday afternoons to do a service for the tenants there. I told them I thought he might be too busy but I knew a man who could do it - Fred Kaigler. He and his beautiful wife, Pat, served faithfully there until he was called to Denny Terrace Baptist Church where he has remained until he went home with His Lord. I loved his and Pats kind sweet hearts and humble service to their Lord. I loved his playing the harmonicas - wow! fantastic! I will miss he and Pat very much. What a blessing they were and so helpful to me at the church until they left to serve at Denny Terrace. They will certainly be a great asset to the Lord's house in Heaven. Love, peace, and comfort to the family. What a great example your parents have been to all of you. Follow them in their footsteps.
