Lynn came to our base in 1967 at Chu Lai. It was deemed unsafe for USO shows but she and others came anyway and it was really a morale booster for The Marines. I did not know her personally but what a brave fine lady she was. The attached picture appeared in the "Sea Tiger" a publication of the Third Marine Amphibious Force. I found this while cleaning out my garage today and I googled her name and sadly found her obituary.

Greg & Ryan, It is hard to believe a year has gone by since Lynn passed away. Although we see you through Scouts, we don't say it often enough: she is missed by many. Your strength and resolve during the immediate time of grief and subsequently since has been commendable. But, we know your hearts must still ache. Know that we are here for you, should you need anything.

It is with great sorrow that I hear of Lynn's passing. Although I am not currently active in Scouting, I know that her dedication to her "One Hour A Week" cannot be equaled. She will be sorely missed. Our prayers go out to Greg and her family.

Lynn taught the first scouting class that I ever attended. I am a retired soldier and have taught more than a few classes myself, but I have to say how impressed I was with Lynn- she was really good! Her loss will be felt throughout the council. May God's peace be with you Greg and Ryan.

Greg and family, I was shocked to read of the passing of Lynn. She always had a pleasant smile and we will miss her. She never hesitated to help someone adult or scout in Indian Waters Council. It was an honor and a pleasure to know her and share with her opportunities to reach our youth. Lynn made a difference in the lives of so many young boys and I extend my prayers to you and your family at this time.

Greg, I will never forget how Lynn chose to go to Vietnam, and support our troops as a USO trouper, when so many others turned their backs. She was fierce like that. And what a loyal friend. She will be remembered. God grant her rest and His peace on you and Ryan.

So many fun sweet memories from Columbia College Days. Your Dancing blew us away. I will never ever forget the crazy wonderful times we had in the Village in the 60's and 70's. Columbia College was well represented with you, Josephine. Joyce, and me. It was through you that I met Cara and her family. Thank you for that wonderful gift. It was your parents and their home with and without you that I visited in Columbia when I was working on Days of our Lives. What great visits we all had. You were and always will be a strong part of my life that will never be forgotten. You touched on so many lives and Troops. You had style, grace and beauty with a radiant warmth filled with humor and compassion. You were taken way too early, but I think you had a good ride, especially with Greg and Ryan in your life. Keep those dancing feet moving, cause I know where you are there will be one great audience ready for "ShowTime". Love Always, Button
