I haven't seen Larry since we were kids. He was such a great person. I remember playing football with the neibhorhood gang and riding bicycles on our trails in the woods. We would stay up half the night in the summer playing cards on his back deck, laughing and cutting up. When Larry went off to Furman I knew he would do good. He was so happy to be playing football at the college level and we were proud of him. I know he will be missed and i pray that God will be with his family.

Coach Grady gave me my first opportunity to be a head coach at the high school level. He took a chance on me and supported me during a very difficult year. He was the best Athletic Director by far that I have ever been associated with and one of the best people I met during my time at White Knoll. He genuinely cared about the students and coaches. I will always be indebted to him for giving me that opportunity.

We were so blessed to have taught Larry Grady and to have known him. Larry came into our lives when he was our student at Pointe South Junior High. What an absolute joy he was to have in the classroom! He was smart, funny, respectful, and so sweet. He was one of those students who made our teaching careers so memorable. Larry thought he was escaping from Mrs. Graves when he graduated from junior high and went to Riverdale High School. However, Mrs. Graves followed him to Riverdale High and taught him again in senior English! Larry was a great person and such a blessing to our lives. He will be missed.

Happy childhood and teen memories with Larry. I spent some time with him at a reunion a couple of years ago just hanging out, reminiscing, laughing and crying. I now know how precious our time together was. Love to all that loved Larry. May God comfort and heal our hearts through prayer and sweet memories.

Oh such precious memories of my little nephew, we grew up together. I remember the summer he and Lewis learned how to drive and stand on their hands under water. I used to go on their family vacations, to be their babysitter, we always had a BLAST!
We (Nell & I) always loved it when Larry & Lewis came to visit, they thought it was great to work in the garden, so when they came we would let them do our work. I remember watching fireworks from the bed of the truck, going fishing together. I remember driving my mother to his college graduation, she was so proud of her oldest grandson.
It's so hard for me to believe my sweet sweet nephew is gone. I will always cherish the times we shared.
I would stop to visit him & his family on my way to the beach, and he would always beg me to come back and stay the night, so we could spend more time together.
" Heaven's sounding sweeter than it ever has before, though I have thought of it often, now I dream of my home more & more". Words of a song written by Marie Simpson.
Larry I can rejoice in knowing we will meet again on the other side.
I love you sweetheart, rest in peace,
Aunt Bessie
