My eyes were filled with tears, and I did not realize that I misspelled your name at the end, Ernie. Oh, Ernie. We feel for you so.

There are no words to describe what a kind, brave, fun, loving person JoAnn was. Kevin was blessed to become her friend when they worked together, and I was blessed to become her friend through him. JoAnn truly followed the words of "Do unto others and you would have others do unto you." She cared for people. Once when Kevin was out of town, she did not want me to be lonely, and she had me and several other people over for supper. She served her delicious mashed potatoes and roast beef. That was almost 40 years ago, and I remember that fantastic meal. I know the most unusual present we ever received was the elephant manure JoAnn gave us. She got it when the circus came to town! She knew how to grow vegetables, and she wanted to help us learn - always giving and sharing. How blessed she was to find her true religion. She was a person of great faith. It was absolutely wonderful when she met and married Ernie. Ernie, you are such a good man, and you made her happy. Our hearts go out to you more than you can possibly know. I once read, "There is never a happy ending to a true love story." Yes, grief is the price of love. We did not see her very much these last years, but she was always in our hearts and forever will be. We, too. are grieving. We are thankful that she is in the arms of Jesus, but, selfishly, we want her well and here longer. The words of Mosiah fit her perfectly. She was in the service of God because she served her fellow beings. When people leave this world into Eternal Life, it is hard to start speaking of them in the past tense, but there is one word that never changes to past tense. That word is, "love." We still love her, and she still loves us. She still loves her family, and her family still loves her. She still loves you so much, Earnie, and you still love her. Kevin and I are praying for you.
Lovingly,
Carol Duggan

I knew JoAnn Bone as JoAnn Perry. We worked together at South Carolina National and enjoyed bowling in the company's bowling league. We had great times together and she was always full of life and good spirit. We loss contact with each other over the years and I am very sadden to hear of her passing. I wish to send my condolences and prays to Ernie and the family. I know she will be missed by all who knew her.
