This is a short story about a memory that includes my dad, Papa A, and my uncle Troy, Unc. Dad and i had just finished haying the coastal bermuda field. Troy and Marquerite was up for a visit. Dad was having issues starting the F4100 tractor (this tractor was known as "Papa A's Tractor." the tractor had bits of hay grass everywhere (Dad used this tractor to run the hay rake. Unc and Papa A were going to fix the tractor. i was doing something close by. i heard them yell, i looked over to Papa A's tractor...there they were throwing dirt on the fire that had started when one of the battery cables had sparked. they finally got the fire out....when they turned to look at me...both had the face of a young boy that had been caught doing something that would end up as a spanking event...they waited for me to yell and fuss i guess. they both stood there waiting for the worst. the tractor electrical harness wasn't cheap to replace but the look on their faces was priceless...i couldn't help it...i laughed and laughed. with Unc and PapaA...even the bad little things of life were happy times. they had taught me yet another of life's lessons.
thanx unc for letting me be part of your life. Buck

What a wonderful loving and caring man. Joe and I love and care for this family so very much. The many stories he has told will never be forgotten. How he and Joe loved getting out and riding. To the family, you know how blessed you have been with having him in your life and I know you will carry on his legend and Little Troy will be told the many stories of his wonderful geat grandfather . We love you all.
