Mandy you will be truly missed. You brought so much love and joy to so many students. We loved you and loved how much you cared for your babies. Now you can care for the precious ones that have gone to live in heaven with Jesus.

Just as the sun becomes beautiful when it shares itself with all nature, we become beautiful when we share ourselves with others! Thank you Mandy!

She taught my husband and my oldest son. She was a beautiful soul. She looked out for my baby as if it was her own.

I met Mandy at Taylor Elementary when I was a PTA parent (before I became the School Counselor). During the school fundraising project (World’s Finest Chocolate-lol-the smell of which permeated the book room and halls), I would put my preschooler Hilary on the bottom rack of that old big gray cart, the chocolate boxes on top and off we would go to each classroom for drop offs. After seeing Hilary napping on the cart and knowing my older Taylor CAT, Elizabeth, she offered to let Hilary have nap time with her K5 students. Such an honor for a toddler!
In recent years, Mandy and I renewed our friendship with lunches, visits and walks. Stories about her family and students were always shared as well as our recounting former Taylor student/staff tales. She always asked about my Elizabeth and Hilary and would laughingly remember their childhood antics. She was a master of the art of rolling her eyes when making a point!
Only recently did she begin to realize/accept that she would not be returning to her students and beloved assistant Jamie. Even the most challenging child was loved as she planted the seeds of learning. Some seeds grew-others didn’t-but Mandy continued to build on strengths and accept growing points.
With the number of prior life adversities and then her health battles, I called her a walking miracle. She fought a brave fight through her fear, pain and regret of missing celebrations to come. However, I have no doubt she will be present when those times come. Rest In Peace dear lady. Debra Moore

Knowing Mandy was to know Love. Mandy showed love through spending time, caring and compassion for others. When she asked you
" how you were doing" She meant it and genuinely wanted to know. She set such a great example of parenting. She was always talking about her love for family as well as her students. Mandy loved her brothers so deeply. There were times we would visit Tem and Mandy would be there holding his hand, washing his face or even feeding him. Mandy will be missed but her example of love will live on forever.
