I thought for certain that I had posted on this wall in the week after Bradley's death. Not being able to find my post, I am posting what should have shown up here. I remember meeting Bradley for the first time at Sarah's on Thanksgiving in South Carolina. He was a great fellow and could hold a decent conversation. We had a bond as military brothers and I grew fond of Bradley. When I was told he was fearful of asking me for blessings to ask to marry Sarah, I sat down with him on Sarah's front porch and told him that as long as he did not hurt Sarah, that I approved. I also told him that if he ever did hurt Sarah, that he wouldn't approve of my next steps. He was a great husband to my daughter and always brought a smile to her face. He was a great father to his children, doing the things fathers do, and they do miss him terribly. I found out just how invaluable he was to the Fort Jackson community while speaking to the Commanding General and Command Sergeant's Major about Bradley. They were earnest in how much they would miss him as part of their team. He had an energetic handshake and was always willing to lend a hand where needed. I was proud that he asked me how to become a Mason and it thrilled me to instruct him on the first three levels of Masonry. He served as chaplain of our lodge the first year I served as Worshipful Master, and he was missed by all brethren when he moved to South Carolina for work. I enjoyed our talks on the back deck of our home in Enterprise, and helping him with resumes and guidance of how to secure a government service position. I will forgive him for the hurt he did not cause, but hurt just the same, and I look forward to our meeting again on Fiddler's Green.

I remember the last time I spoke to my grandson, he came by to see me before he went back to SC after doing some things for his mom. He came bouncing into the hose and I always asked him how Sarah and the kids were. He talked about Sarah that day and how much he loveced her and I told him after He Sarah should come first, he said he thanked God every day, and he got up and eyes sparkling he gave me one of his tight hugs and said "I Love you Nanny. I 'll never hear those precious words again bury are are etched on my heart forever.
