Obituary of Luther Willard McCutcheon

Luther Willard McCutcheon, 79, of Lexington, husband of Frances Eloise Welch McCutcheon, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019. He was born on October 8, 1939 in Olanta, South Carolina to the late Joe Wheeler McCutcheon and Lucille Hannaford McCutcheon. He retired as a General Contractor.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by three sons, Johnny, Russell and Luther "Luke" (Mary) McCutcheon; two sisters, Mildred Jones and Lottie Mae “Shorty” Sketo; and one brother, James Pate; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jane David and Judy Woods; and one brother, Joe “Buck” W. McCutcheon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.  Family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service in Woodridge Memorial Park.
