This world has lost one of the all time Greats. I was in Jack's auto mechanics class at Eau Claire from '85-'87. We INSTANTLY hit it off because of our mutual love of guns and the outdoors. He was a great teacher, but he was so much more than a teacher to me. We kept in touch through the years and went hunting together many times until his health declined. After he gave up hunting, I took him several deer to fill his freezer. Doug brought him to visit me this past October because he wanted to see me "one more time." His sense of humor was still in full force and we had a nice visit. I'm so sorry it was our last. My life was forever changed the first day I walked into Lybrand's auto class and I will miss him and cherish his memory the rest of my life. I'm sorry I didn't learn of his passing until the day after the funeral because I would have liked to have attended. There will never be another man like him.
