Jim and I were classmates and good friends at Paris High School. We both were active players in the backfield on the Paris High School football team in 1957 & 1958. I last saw Jim at the Paris High School reunion on May 5. 2018. I admire his service to our country and his achievement in the army to the rank of Master Sergeant at retirement. He is now in God's hands and may he rest in peace. Your friend, Don Bridges

To the Family of James W. Summey:
So sorry to hear of the family loss. Jimmy was a longtime dear friend, Paris High School classmate and a neighbor back then. Lost contact with him during his military years but when I moved to Columbia to live with my daughter for health reasons, Jimmy and I reacquainted. It was when he was the sole caretaker of his lively wife, Anniliese. For those of you not stateside I can tell you he was the best caregiver I ever seen. We would talk as I tried to give he encouragement when he was in a very depressed state knowing his wife was dying. He was always like the big brother I never had. I enjoyed talking with him from time to time and he was a dear friend. May he Rest in Peace Forever. Hellan
