Dear Frances and family,
Gram (Carolyn Scott) and I were so sorry to hear of Jonathan’s passing. We understand that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and we celebrate the knowledge that he is whole and healed. But we also understand all too well the grief and pain of this temporary separation. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
God bless, Jeanie Fisk and Carolyn Scott

Francis and Chris,
I am sorry to hear of Jonathan's passing. Unfortunately I just learned of it this evening, 1-22-19. Otherwise I would have been there for the funeral. We love you and will pray for peace in your spirit. We lost dad in June of last year so we know all to well what you're going through. God bless you and know that you and Jonathan played a huge roll in my life.

I am so disappointed I did not get to visit with my favorite cousin on this coming Friday. Growing up is West Columbia, I would ride (with no helmet or seat) on the back of his scooter everywhere with my mother’s permission. Suffice it to say, she trusted him explicitly at the time and I later learned the proper way to wash a car from him. We later hunted together many times and I was his “side kick” anywhere we went.
Then he married Frances and I’m sure at times, I was an interrupter in their life together but Frances was patient and took it in stride. His gentle nature came from his mother who at times, had to rear me as I spent so much time in his home. It was Jonathan that taught me many talents in growing into a young man. They don’t make such men now and I am proud that I had his influence in my life!
Although I am hundreds of miles away, his demise saddens me greatly and I wish that I could have seen him one last time. It was that close to happening. I am thankful to have such a man in my life those formative years. I know full well that Frances will miss him and I shall too. Little does he know now what a positive role model he was.

Frances: It is very painful to hear of Jonathan's passing. I know folks say he's in a better place...but I will truly miss him not being a phone call away. I have such fond memories of how you and Jonathan sacrificed your time and talent to give to so many of us while we were in our youth. Thank you for allowing me to reunite with him these past few months. I will always have the memories of weights dropped in your living room and Wendy's Hamburgers & Frosties. As the song writer wrote... " Thank you for giving to the Lord, I'm a life that was changed." Love, Karen
