Losing a child has to be the worst that can ever happen.
I can't imagine the depth of your grief.
Blessed are those that mourn for they shall be comforted.
Jesus said it. I believe it.

I was so saddened to hear of Donavon's death. I cannot begin to imagine the heartache of losing him. Donavon and Tabitha were precious children at Red Bank Elementary where I served as a school counselor many years. I can still see both of their sweet faces from childhood. It is with great sadness that I write this note to you.
Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. May God’s promise bring you comfort. There will be “a new earth... and He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore... I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:1-5

Donovan was like a part of our family, always a smile, a hand to give, a shoulder to cry on. Our hearts are broken. Gone but never forgotten. Fly high now, you are free.

Cheryl, Bobby, Tabitha, Dean and Sandy and family,
My heart hurts for you all. I know how I felt and feel now. I still see him as this young man always smiling, always so caring and loving. I remember Matthew wanting to go over there to hang out with his best friend after school EVERYDAY. The karate classes together. You said it the other day, "You know, today my thoughts went to years gone by and my heart smiled for just a moment knowing that Matthew and Donavon and are together again...best buddies forever! I remember when mama came home from school one day telling me that Donavon wanted her to call him "William".
You all did a fine job raising him and Tabitha. I remember you taking time to explain things to him and being very loving. I know that he is in a better place now but it still hurts. It's okay to cry. Cry when you need to, scream when you need to, it's okay!!!! Remember crying helps the soul.
I am here if you need me day and night.
May God wrap His arms around you and give you comfort and peace.
Love you,
Wanda, Mark and Sara
