U-Haul's success has largely been built by people like Vernon. I appreciate the hard work he did in his 37 years with the company. My condolences to his wife and family.
Vernon was not only my office mate, he was my mentor and my friend. He was an ear when I needed and a voice of reason I paid attention to. He taught me so much over ten years and I am going to miss him so much. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family..

I met Vernon just over three years ago when I relocated to the Carolinas. Vernon was instrumental in helping our new team. Vernon's loyalty and dedication to his U-Haul family was absolutely amazing. I am honored to have known and worked with Vernon these past few years and will carry forward what Vernon taught me. My condolences to Vernon's family.
I only met Vernon once or twice when I was visiting the SC office. But I remember he was always welcoming to visitors from other marketing companies. Few people you meet only once or twice stand out in your mind over the years, but he was one of them that always did for me. My condolences to his family.
