Obituary of Lois Swiney

Lois Swiney CAYCE—Funeral services for Lois Swiney, 86, of Cayce will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, March 17, 2011 in the Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Chapel of Hope. Officiating will be Reverend Ron Kenyon. Interment will follow service. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington will be assisting the family. Mrs. Swiney, widow of John Swiney, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011. Born in Ottawa, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late James Taylor and Leathel Ann Taylor. She lived in South Carolina most of her life and retired from Ft. Jackson as a civilian employee. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie Schneller (Anthony) of Monett, Missouri, Janice Smith (James) of Pelion, Joyce Swiney of Cayce and Phyliss Magill of Ainsworth, Nebraska; son and daughter-in-law, John A. Swiney, Jr. (Connie) of Summerville; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and daughter, Judith Frazier.
