Obituary of Effie Stier

Effie Mae Stier LEXINGTON: Funeral service for Effie Mae Stier, 90, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Deacon Ron Anderson. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at the funeral home. Mrs. Stier, widow of Charles John Stier, Jr., went to be with the Lord, Monday, July 4, 2011. Born in Charleston, SC, she was a daughter of the late Baxter Jordan and Alaska Voyles Jordan. Surviving are her daughter, Carole Forsythe (James) of Charleston; grandchildren, Jeanette Thomas (Charles),Wyatte Stier, Charles Robert Forsythe (Michele), Charles Wells, Jessica Wells, Michael Stier, Amanda Wells and Sarah Thomas; great grandchildren, Robert P. Forsythe; great great grandchildren, Leah Michael, Jordan Wells, Deliah Goff and Aiden Goff. Mrs. Stier was preceded in death by a son, Wyatte Joseph Stier.
