Obituary of Archie Mills

Archie Rudolph Mills GASTON: Graveside service for Archie Rudolph Mills, 80, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Southland Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. John Richbourg. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mr. Mills, widower of Maelene Clara Crawford Mills, died Thursday, July 28, 2011. Born in Conway, SC, he was a son of the late Steven William Mills, Sr., and Annie Tedder Mills. Mr. Mills was a retired auto mechanic; he had owned his own repair shop. Surviving are his sons, Eddie R. Mills (Patricia) of Gaston, and Marty E. Mills of Sandy Run. Mr. Mills was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Hancock and brothers, Billy, S.W. and Charles Mills.
