Obituary of Leila Hipp

Leila Reid Hipp ST. PETERSBURG, FL-Graveside service for Leila Reid Hipp, 95, of St. Petersburg, FL, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Greenwood, SC. Officiating will be Father Peter Geromel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of one's choice. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge. Mrs. Hipp died Thursday, December 29, 2011. Born May 11, 1916 in Newberry, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Grady Reid and Sunnie Cameron Reid Maynard. She was an avid duplicate bridge player and she carried the Life Master rating with the American Contract Bridge League. A talented seamstress, she made all of her clothes, and took up quilting in her 80's. Surviving are her son, Gary O. Hipp (Donna P.) of Chapin; and sister, Mildred R.
