Obituary of Charles P. Senn

Charles P. "Bubba" Senn WEST COLUMBIA: Service for Charles P. "Bubba" Senn, 83, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Brookland United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. J. Wayne Smith, Jr. Interment will follow at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Senn, Johnny Epps, Raymond Hill, Rock Easterling, Rocky Thomas, Timmy Thomas and Johnny Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Couples for Christ, Billy Belch, Herman Taylor, Billy Lynne Williams and Guy Epps. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Brookland United Methodist Church, 541 Meeting St., West Columbia, SC 29169 or to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 91, Columbia, SC 29202. Mr. Senn went to be with his Lord, Thursday, October 27, 2011. Born in West Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Carl Eston Senn and Gussie Wilson Senn. He was a member of Brookland United Methodist Church and Couples for Christ Sunday School Class. Mr. Senn was co-owner of Senn Brothers Produce; he was in the BC Hall of Fame; and he played in the 1946 Shrine Bowl. Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Sylvia J. Senn; daughters, Linda Smith (Rudy) and Nancy Smith (Steve); sons, Tommy Senn and Stacey Senn; four grandchildren, Paul Smith, Andy Smith, Miranda Senn and Tommy Senn; four great grandchildren, Zachery Russo, Haley Russo, Campbell Smith and Cooper Smith.
