Obituary of Maureen Edmundson

A funeral service celebrating the life of Maureen Taylor ?Nanna? Edmundson will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, South Carolina Chapter, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621. Maureen passed away from this troubled world into the peace of the domain of our Lord, Jesus Christ. She came into this world on December 28, 1933 in Lincolnshire, England; the daughter of Edith Taylor. Surrounded by her husband, children, and her grandchildren, she passed into another life at 3:14p.m. on March 1, 2011 in her home in Hopkins, SC. She was a devoted loving wife and mother, always putting the needs of her family before her own. She was charitable to those who had less than she did. She was preceded in passing by her mother, grandmother, grandfather, a special uncle and aunt and uncle, Ivor Ian and Jessie Dow, and a son, Ian Keith Edmundson. Those left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Virtus Edmundson; five sons and two daughters, Glenn David (Vicki Jo), Eugene Dale (Sylvia), Wayne Paul (Patricia), Ian Stuart (Georgia), Michael Shawn, Michelle Lynn (Dennis) Williams, Teresa Maureen (Mickey) Bouyea; nine grandchildren, Christopher Stewart (Lacie), Jennifer Christine (Ken) McLemore, Donovan Ian (Amanda), Timothy Ian Williams, Tiffany Maureen (Steven) Bruce, Danielle Marie Bouyea, Shaunte? Maureen (Gary) Ruppert, Heather Kay, Daniel Ian Lee; and nine great-grandchildren. Rest in peace MY HEART your work here in this world is completed. We will be reunited in that Peaceful Valley on the far shore. Love Eddie.
