Obituary of Carol Triplett

A memorial service celebrating the life of Carol J. Triplett, 59, of Columbia, SC will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Capital City Church, 4600 Monticello Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29203. Carol Triplett went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 after a long illness. She accepted Christ when she was 17 at her home church in Charlotte, North Carolina and served Jesus as a pastor?s wife, Sunday School Teacher, and Church volunteer. She attended the University of North Carolina where she earned a bachelor?s degree. She earned her Master?s Degree in Religious Education in 1978 from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. She married her husband, Chaplain (LTC-RET) Harlon Triplett in 1979 and traveled the world as an Army wife serving soldiers and their families in each assignment. She was a member of Capital City Church in Columbia, South Carolina. She is survived by her husband, Chaplain Harlon Triplett; her mother, Mrs. Thelma Dunn Johnson; and her brother Johnny Johnson.
