Obituary of Daisy Mattox Dennis

Daisy Mattox Dennis AIKEN:Funeral service for Daisy Cornelia Mattox Dennis, 95, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, officiated by Rev. Otis Lee. Interment will follow at Jackson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 7778 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Dennis, widow of Mancel T. Dennis after 50 years of marriage, died Monday, March 21, 2011, in Aiken Memorial Hospital, Aiken, SC. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Lawrence Mattox and Frances Roberts Mattox,. Mrs. Dennis was an outgoing and fun loving person and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her sisters, Janie M. Henage (Jesse) of Columbia and Sara M. Baldwin of Eastover; also a number of nieces and nephews and loving relatives.
