Obituary of Ruby Catoe

Ruby D. Catoe WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Ruby D. Catoe, 95, of West Columbia will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Aebischer. Burial will follow in Lybrand Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Robertson, Hampton Caughman, Jr., Danny Fox, Donald Dye, Ray Dye and Harold Dye. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 1000 B Avenue, West Columbia, SC 29169. Mrs. Catoe, widow of W. P. Catoe, Sr., passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011. Born in Fairfield County, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Dye and Irene Feaster Dye. She was a longtime area resident and a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. She retired from De Loache Florist where she work as their bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of the West Columbia Home and Garden Club and the Trinity Court #6 Order of the Amerantz. Surviving are her step-son, William Paul Catoe, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Janie Lee Caughman, Betty Dye Caughman (Hampton), Harold Dye (Barbara), Donald Dye (Joan), Charles Robertson (Bernice), Robert Robertson (Eulene), Frieda Lynne Shull (Steve) and Ray Dye (Cookie).
