Obituary of McLaurin Wilson

A funeral service celebrating the life and legacy of McLaurin ?Mac? Wilson, 87, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend William Robertson officiating. Military honors and interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mr. Wilson went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2011. He was born in Barnwell County to Leroy and Sadie Wilson. Mac was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church Columbia, but he attended Earlewood Baptist Church. After 35 years of dedicated service, he retired from Kraft Foods in Decatur, Georgia. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Dorothy Barnes Wilson; step-sons, Michael Barnes and Robert Barnes; step-daughters, Ann Bowers, Alison Dabbs, and Esther Carter; sisters, Frances Zeigler and Inez Meng; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
