Obituary of Marie Corley

Marie Corley LEESVILLE --Funeral services for Annie Marie Corley, 82, of Leesville, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Rev. Ed Lynch. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the funeral home. Mrs. Corley, beloved wife of Charles R. Corley, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Born in Elizabethton, TN, she was the daughter of the late Avery Conley and Hazel Peeks Conley. She was a longtime area resident and a member of Gilbert Baptist Church. Marie has always been Charles's "Precious Baby"; she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband of 60 years, Charles Corley of Leesville; daughter, Kathy C. Whittle (Butch) of Leesville; son, Larry C. Corley (Paula) of Braselton, GA; three grandchildren, Jessica Smith (David), Justin Whittle and Brooke Whittle; one great-grandson, Steven C. Smith; four sisters, Mildred, Marilda, Ada and Dossie.
