MIRIAM LOUISE CLAMP FUSON COLUMBIA: Funeral service for Miriam Louise Clamp Fuson, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011, at St. Andrews Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Fred S. Miller. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. one hour prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrews Baptist Church, 230 Bush River Rd., Columbia, SC 29210. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mrs. Fuson, widow of David Elrod Fuson, died Saturday, August 6, 2011. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Elbert David Clamp and Lucy Elizabeth Cockrell Clamp. She was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church. Mrs. Fuson enjoyed square dancing and helped organize Columbia High School 1945 reunions. Surviving are her brother, Bobby Dean Clamp (Helen) of Leesburg, FL; step-daughter, Barbara Mattox (Gary) of Paradise Valley, AZ nieces, Anne Marie Reed (Pete), Penny Allen (Kevin), and Belinda Burg (Bobby); a nephew, David Clamp (Kay); two step-grandchildren, Dawn Kirkpatrick (Chris) of Arizona and Sheri Chapman (David) of California; 4 great grandchildren, Ali and Gracie Chapman, Brianna and Karis Kirkpatrick; as well as a number of great nieces, nephews and close friends.
