Shannon Lee Greene LEXINGTON: Funeral services for Shannon Lee Greene, 34, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Lexington, officiated by Rev. Ralph Schneck, Interment will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Dr. David Olshine, Jon Silver, Steve Smith, Michael Grubbs, Andrew Jarvis, and Tony Long. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Youth Department of First Baptist Church of Lexington, 415 Barr Rd., Lexington, SC 29072. Shannon went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of Alicia G. Scott and father, Richard D. Scott. He served as the Youth Minister at First Baptist Church of Lexington. It was his joy and passion to work with the youth and he would always say "it wasn't his ability but his availability," to God. Shannon was an amazing father and a devoted husband. Surviving is his loving wife, Erica Lynn Greene; and his 3 ½ year old son, Noah Alexander Hart Greene; his parents, Alicia G. Scott and Richard D. Scott, all of Lexington; sister, V. Grace Hutto of Pelion, SC, brother, Joshua R. Bishop of Wildwood, NJ, and sister, Erica Meeks of Milton, TN; his maternal grandmother, Lindell Ridenhour of Concord, NC; and his wife's family; parents, Steve and Candy Robinson; brother, Steven Robinson; sister, Jessica Robinson; grandmother, Estelle Robinson; Uncle Jeff, Aunt Lynda and their children, Ashley and Justin Norris.
