Obituary of WEBSTER THOMPSON

Webster C. ?Red? Thompson, 84, of Columbia, passed away September 2, 2011. Born in Upper Greenville County, SC to parents Bryson Thompson and Eva Jeanette Lynn Thompson. Mr. Thompson was the founder, owner and president of Thompson Construction, Inc. He was a member of the Masons/Shriners, and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving, in addition to his loving and faithful wife, Dianne McKnight Thompson; a son, Ronald Thompson (wife June); a brother-in-law, Doward McKnight; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Thompson Skinner; a sister, Varon Thompson Bagwell; and brothers, John H. Thompson and Billy Thompson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. A private graveside service will be held.
