Obituary of Docia Brazier

A funeral service celebrating the life of Docia Mae Blizzard Brazier, 74, of Hopkins, SC will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Lykesland Baptist Church, 2712 Trotter Road, Columbia, SC 29209 with Pastor Odell Belger officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Brazier departed this earthly life on Friday, September 16, 2011. She was born in Columbia, SC to Albert Blizzard and Lucille Driggers Blizzard. She was a member of Lykesland Baptist Church. Mrs. Brazier was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Clifford Allen Brazier. Surviving are her three daughters, Ruth Rossiter, Deloris (William) Dupuis, and Sandra (Odell, Jr.) Belger; four sons, Frank Allen Brazier, Albert Ray (Tonya) Brazier, Rusty (Brenda) Brazier, and James (Patrice) Brazier; four sisters, Aretta Blizzard, Patricia (Benjamin) Bledsoe, Sandra (Paul) Parker and Elaine Blizzard; two brothers, Bobby and Dwayne Blizzard; 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly.
