Obituary of Clifton Jackson

Services celebrating the life of Clifton Jackson, Jr., 45, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. On-line condolences may be sent to www.Greenlawn-Columbia.com. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mr. Jackson died on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Born in Columbia on April 21, 1966, he was the youngest son of Clifton and Ida Boston Jackson, Sr. He was a 1984 graduate of Eau Claire High School. He worked as a certified print setter for S.C. Department of Mental Health until he retired. ?Cliff? or ?Junior?, as he was affectionately known, genuinely loved his family. When his nieces and nephews visited with him, he would always have a special gift selected for them. He was the family photographer, constantly capturing precious moments with his picture taking. He had a generous and giving heart. Surviving are his parents, Clifton and Ida Boston Jackson, Sr. of Columbia, SC; sisters, Deborah Boston, Valerie (Chris) Hoefer of Irmo, SC and Elizabeth Jackson of Blythewood, SC; two brothers, Earl (Darlene) Boston and Karl (Harriet) Boston of Columbia, SC; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives & friends whom will miss him dearly.
