Obituary of Gimmy Watson

Funeral services for Gimmy L. Watson, of Columbia, will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 845 Leesburg Road Columbia, SC 29209. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Watson passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011. He was born April 3, 1960 in Ludwigshafen. Mr. Watson was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, and loved horses and Elvis Presley music. Surviving are his loving parents, Jerry and Ute Pinero; his daughters, Amanda Dicey Watson and Ashley Watson; his sisters, Rev. Katherine Dale (husband Phil) and Mary A. Matthews (husband Thomas); his brother, Junior Watson (wife Lynn Connelly); his grandchild, Cameron Gamble; and his nephews, Danny Watson, Joseph Watson and Joshua Watson. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staffs of Lexington Oncology Center and the Lexington Medical Center for the loving care they provided to Mr. Watson.
