Obituary of Henry Satcher

Henry Grady Satcher, Jr. LEESVILLE: Graveside service for Henry Grady Satcher, Jr., 87, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011, at First Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Leesville, SC, officiated by Rev. J. Mendle Baker. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. this Wednesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to First Calvary Baptist Church, 2320 Cedar Grove Rd., Leesville, SC 29070. Mr. Satcher went to be with his Lord, Sunday, October 16, 2011. Born in Johnston, SC, he was a son of the late Henry Grady Satcher, Sr. and Ida Henrietta Fox Satcher. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the South Carolina National Guard. Mr. Satcher retired from Electrolux Corporation with over 50 years of dedicated service; he is a legend in the Electrolux Community and had won the National Salesman of the Year Award. He also enjoyed carpentry and as a hobby, cooking and home renovation. Mr. Satcher loved his Lord and was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are his sons, Gary Satcher of Ooltewah, TN and Grady Satcher (Gail) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Jamey Satcher and Thornton Satcher; also two great grandchildren.
