Obituary of G. Beachum

Gary "Rodney" Beachum GASTON—Funeral services for Gary "Rodney" Beachum, 67, of Gaston, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 9617 Noah Road, North, SC 29114. Officiating will be Rev. Jack W. Gibson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Mr. Beachum passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late John Ray Beachum, Sr. and Gary Dell Rucker Beachum. He was a lifetime area resident and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Rodney retired as owner and operator of Rodney Beachum Framing. He was very active in his church and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He loved to travel around town visiting friends and family. He is survived by his sons, David Beachum, Dale Beachum (Shellie) and Kevin Beachum (April) all of Gaston; grandchildren, James Beachum, Katlyn Beachum and Cameron Beachum; brothers, Ray Beachum, Jr. (Billie) of Columbia and Larry Beachum (Sue) of Arlington, TX; and former spouse, Evelyn Towns of Gaston.
