Obituary of Seth Davis

A graveside service celebrating the life of Seth Boyd Davis, 62, of Columbia will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 in Greenlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors and Masonic Rites to follow. Reverend Wayne Horne will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of the service on Friday at Greenlawn Funeral Home. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mr. Davis departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. He was born in Monroe, NC to Ivah Eubanks Davis and the late J. Heath Davis. He was a member of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Spirit of Fellowship Sunday School Class. Mr. Davis was also a member of Shandon Masonic Lodge #370, Shandon OES #193, York Rite and Scottish Rite. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Willa Williams Davis; a loving daughter, Heather Marlena Davis; his mother, Ivah Eubanks Davis; a brother, J. Thomas Davis and his wife, Harriet Davis; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
