Kathlene Willie Mae Corder LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Kathlene Willie Mae Corder, 85, of Lexington, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating wil be Pastor Alvin Wilson and Pastor David Deleon. Burial will follow in State Full Gospel Church Cemetery, Gaston. Pallbearers will be grandsons, H. David Lovett, Tony Harsey, Lance Ott, Randy Hoover, Shane Corder, Brian Corder and Brandon Corder. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Corder, widow of Lester James Corder, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Born in Lexington County, she was the daughter of the late Ellerbee Sightler and Gertrude Sharpe Sightler. She was a lifetime member of Platt Springs Road Church of God. She was a devoted Christian woman who never turned anyone away who was in need. She had an intense love for her family and was always there for them. She showed her love through her delicious large meals, her strong hugs, comforting words and her daily prayers. Surviving are her daughters, Nora Ann Corder of Lexington, Rose Ott (Everette) of St. Matthews and Miriam Hoover of Lexington; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clayton Woodrow Sightler (Ann); special family members, Martha Smith Harmon, Melanie Wright, Stella Mae Smith (her namesake) and Debbie Ducker. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Lou Busbee and Magdalene Reese, brother, Jewel Sightler, daughter, Betty J. Williamson, son, James Edward Corder, grandson, James Edward Corder and great-grandchild, Sutherland Ott.
