Obituary of Kathleen Earhart

CAYCE—A memorial service for Kathleen "Kathy" Earhart, 58, of Cayce, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Officiating will be Rev. David Williamson. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Kathleen's honor to the American Diabetes Assn. of South Carolina, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or Tri-County Hospice, 166 Stoneridge Drive, Ste 100, Columbia, SC 29210 Mrs. Earhart, beloved wife of Kenneth David Earhart, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie W. Boone and Sarah Ann Barrett. She was a lifetime area resident and enjoyed shopping and bowling. She was a great cook and loved spending time with her friends and family especially her grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed by many. Surviving in addition to her husband of 36 years, David Earhart of Cayce; daughters, Shannon Rabon (Brian) and Devon Smith (Paul) all of West Columbia; her beloved grandchildren, David Rabon, Sarah Rabon, Campbell Smith and Cooper Smith; brother, John Boone (Bridgett) of Inman; sister-in-law, Chris Poole (Glenn) of Salley; cousin, Libby Bryan (Alan) of Irmo; dear friends, Nancy & Corey Huselton of West Columbia, numerous nephews and nieces. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Tri-County Hospice for all their care and love shown to Mrs. Earhart.
