Obituary of Estelle Hall

Estelle R. "Jack" Hall WEST COLUMBIA: Funeral service for Estelle "Jack" Hall will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Dr. Pete Cassidy. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mrs. Hall's nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hope Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:30 a.m. prior to service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Agape Hospice of Midlands, 805 Buff St., West Columbia, SC 29169. Mrs. Hall, widow of James E. "Ed" Hall, Sr., passed away Monday, February 13, 2012. Born in Fairfield County, SC, she was a daughter of the late John English Reynolds and Kisiah Branham Reynolds. She was retired from Bankers Trust (Bank of America) after 38 years of service. Mrs. Hall was the first drive in teller in South Carolina, working for Congaree Bank in West Columbia where she received many awards for her selling ability. She was a member of State Street Baptist Church for 67 years, working with WMU, and teaching her peers until her health failed her. Mrs. Hall was a past Worthy Matron and life time member of New Brookland Chapter 104, OES Sinclair Lodge #154, Widows Club Prime Time and a former member of the senior choir for State Street Baptist Church and Young Hearts. Mrs. Hall is survived by her two daughters, Joanne Hall Wilson and Marilyn K. Hall of Cayce; sisters, Dorothy M. Geddings of Blythewood, and Ruby Kanatzar (Dale) of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Kathy (Doug) Moore of Cocoa, FL and Jeff Wilson (Melanie) of Cumming, GA; two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; also a number of nieces and nephews who will miss her. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by a son, James E. "Bill" Hall, Jr., sisters, Ollie Lee Loftin, Thelma Haygood, and Ethel Reynolds, brothers, Heyward, Jake, Horace "Bud", Pete and Elliott Reynolds.
