Obituary of Joseph O'Kelly

Joseph ?Pop? O?Kelly, 81, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at his home in Eastover, SC. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home on Leesburg Road. He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Mary Francis of forty-two years. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park with full military honors. Ray Goodson and Bobby Livingston will be officiating. Mr. O?Kelly was the son of Rufus and Gracie O?Kelly, both deceased. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary Francis, daughter, Elizabeth Ann Goff, and a brother, Estus (Kitty). ?Pop? is survived by his brother, Sam (Jane), a sister, Georgia Ann Green; his children, Mary Sumner, Jimmy (Cindy), William ?J.J.? (Linda), Barbara ?Kathy? Paul (Phillip), Gracie Westbrook, and Shane; 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. O?Kelly retired from the United States Army after proudly serving our country for 20 years. He then worked for and retired from Square ?D? Company after 20 years of service. The family thanks Caris Hospice for their wonderful care and kindness.
