Obituary of Joan Simmons

JOAN CRAIG SIMMONS, 63 of Irmo has joined her Savior in glory after a valiant battle with lung cancer on Sunday, March 11, 2012. She is predeceased by her parents George W Craig, Jr. and Ursula Huelse Craig; a sister, Ardyth Craig; and two grandchildren, Aaron Dale Vinson and Matthew Craig Simmons. The family will have a visitation from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home and a private family graveside service on Wednesday the 14th. She is survived by her soul mate and husband of 45 years, Bobby Frank Simmons and children, Becky Bass of Irmo, SC, Debbie & (Beetle) Thiele of Irmo, SC, and Rob & (Sandi) Simmons of Lexington; grandchildren, CJ, Cassie, Jake, Gracie, Tabitha, Ashton and Frank; siblings, Nancy Mills McLane of Arkansas, John & (Pam) Craig of Columbia, Pat DePasquale of New York, and Bud & (Bobbie) of Columbia.
