Obituary of Harold McGrady

A graveside service celebrating the life of Harold Hartwell McGrady, Sr., 85, of Columbia, SC will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Greenlawn Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 520 Gervais Street, Columbia, SC 29201 in Harold?s memory. Mr. McGrady departed this earthly life on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. He was born in Columbia, SC to the late Irby H. McGrady and Corrine Helms McGrady. Mr. McGrady was a WWII United States Army veteran. He retired from AT&T after many years of dedicated service. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Wilma Burnett McGrady; children, Melinda (Glen) Starnes, Sheryl (Rob) Groves, and Harold H. McGrady, Jr.; grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) McGrady, Kathleen (Brandon) Smith, Allison Groves, Cole McGrady, Corey McGrady, and Shelley Groves; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Caroline, Kaegan, and Patrick; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
