Obituary of Yvonne Lloyd

Yvonne Usher Lloyd, 82, a retired teacher from Fulmer Middle School in West Columbia, died Wednesday at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, South Carolina. Mrs. Lloyd was born in Lancaster, SC, the daughter of Annie Ogburn Usher and Jud Haskel Usher. She graduated from Winthrop College and became a teacher following graduation. In addition to her classroom responsibilities, she was also an officer in the Lexington County Education Association. She was an active member of Platt Springs United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son Raymond E. Lloyd (Sandra) of Summerville, SC; a daughter, Nancy Fox (Robert) of Brunswick, GA.; three grandchildren, Ryan, Cody and Kaili. She was predeceased by a son, James and her husband, Euel A. Lloyd Jr. In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to Palmetto Health Hospice and the Platt Springs United Methodist Church Building Fund.
